Natural History of Sprawl |

Wednesday, July 26
The city of Albuquerque has attempted to revive its downtown on 31 separate occasions. All of the attempts failed. But there is a new effort under way, led by noted developer and sprawl historian Chris Leinberger who says this plan is different in part because it's controlled by builders who used to avoid the area. Listen as NPR’s John Nielsen takes us through the history of Albuquerque's sprawl, the efforts to combat it and the focus of revitalization in this post-sprawl metropolis.
