A fence & a hard place
Working in an already overplanted garden, I try (and fail) not to stomp on the lovely little yellow heads of my favorite sedum.

My hat rack of a crape myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica 'Catawba') is just begging for a clematis boa during the early naked spring days.

After chopping the vine back by half (only this first year, then nevermore), the flowers of 2002 ended their days in a vase.
