Claire Daly is a rarity in jazz - and not, simply because she's a female instrumentalist. She's one the few baritone saxophonists playing modern jazz today. The cumbersome, hearty-tone brass horn is customarily used to anchor big bands. And Daly has certainly paid her big band dues, playing with the all-woman orchestra Diva. Since then, she's gone on to become one of the best baritone sax players on today's scene. On this show, she joins Dr. Taylor's trio in some fine renditions of "I'll Remember You," "Out of Nowhere," and "The Voice of the Saxophone," and gives insights into her own artistic journey.
