"I think my music has changed. I don't think it's changed directions, but do I think that my feeling has deepened."

Dr. Billy Taylor's special guest for this edition of Jazz at the Kennedy Center is the very thoughtful, cerebral guitar innovator Stanley Jordan, who joins Dr. Taylor for an hour of exceptional music and insightful conversation. From the opening rendition "Along Came Betty" through the spirited show closer "A Night In Tunisia" Jordan and Dr. Taylor achieve a musical simpatico. Other selections include Thelonious Monk's classic "Round Midnight" and a Jordan solo piece "El Condor Pasa" which provides an apt illustration of Jordan's rather unique technique of accompanying himself.
